Safety Tips
Ground fault circuit interuptors:
GFCI's (with the red and black buttons) next to sinks and in the garage are designed to save lives. Breakers in the main electrical panel are designed to save property. A GFCI will prevent serious or fatal electrocution by cutting off the current near instantly. Be sure to check your GFCI's at least twice
yearly to be sure they are functional. They do need occasional replacement if they wear out. We will inspect these for you as part of our normal home inspection and report their functionality or absence. It these are absent in areas we feel they should be located for your families safety we will suggest you contact a licensed electrical contractor to install them.
Thank you for considering us for your home inspection needs.
